Meet the team
at Freedom Care Clinics Manchester
Manchester practitioners are registered with all the major insurance providers such as BUPA, Simply Health, Pru-Health, Aviva, WPA, Allianz, Axa and others. They are also registered with the professional bodies who regulate clinical practice, and are dedicated to adopting the highest possible standards of patient care.
Rod Gillingham, Osteopath
Rod qualified from the Surrey Institute of Osteopathic Medicine and completed further training in western acupuncture. He has recently attended further training courses in the treatment of post-natal mums and in the management of chronic pain. Rod previously worked as a professional sports therapist and personal trainer; as such he has a keen interest in sports injuries. He has successfully treated a wide variety of patients from international rugby stars to professional dancers, and teenagers with postural issues to senior citizens.
He suggests the most effective way of achieving the best possible results for patients is through a combined approach to patient management, which includes addressing factors relating to posture, exercise, diet and lifestyle in addition to his manual osteopathic treatment.
Rod is also involved in delivering the osteopathy MSc programme at Leeds Metropolitan University. When not working he is a keen (but very average) golfer and he also regularly plays badminton and football.
Daniel Stott – Osteopath
Daniel holds a Masters degree in Osteopathy after graduating from Leeds Beckett University. Since becoming an osteopath Daniel has broadened his repertoire of techniques so that his treatments cater for all patients. He has certified qualifications in:
- Acupuncture (Dry Needling)
- Kinesio Taping (RockTape)
- Cranial Osteopathy
- Shockwave Therapy (ESWT)
- Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)
Daniel takes a special interest in treating the shoulder girdle after enduring two long term injuries himself through weight training. He believes that a combination of osteopathic treatment and exercise education is the key to overcoming complex shoulder injuries and has written informative articles on the subject. Daniel has successfully treated many athletes and keen gym goers for dysfunction of the neck, shoulder and rotator cuff as well as other exercise related injuries.
Away from the clinic Daniel likes to keep active. If he isn’t weight training or playing golf he is rock climbing in the Yorkshire Dales or scuba diving in the Caribbean. Daniel has a keen interest in mixed martial arts and boxing, he has treated many competitive fighters.
Trini Ibanez – Senior Physiotherapist
Trini started her career as a physiotherapist in 2006 in Valencia, Spain. She went on to study osteopathy in 2010 and is now qualified in both practices.
Over the last 7 years she has worked in Spain, France and UK in both hospital and private practice.
She has a special interest in complex pain cases and postural correction.
Trini has undertaken further training in visceral and kinesio-taping. She’s committed to continuing her professional development by attending courses to ensure using the most up to date techniques.
In her spare time she likes reading and going to the theatre and the cinema. She also likes traveling, visiting new places and meeting new people.
Amn Sahota, Chiropractor
Amn Sahota graduated from the Anglo-European college of chiropractic with a masters degree in chiropractic. Amn began her career as a chiropractor in 2007.
Amn is registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and is a member of the British Chiropractic Association (BCA).
Amn is qualified in myofascial dry needling, which is a medical form of acupuncture. She is also a qualified CCEP chiropractor (certified chiropractic extremity practitioner).
With a wide range of treatment techniques from which to choose, Amn enjoys ensuring that her patients benefit from a comprehensive, integrated approach to health and wellbeing. In particular, she combines spinal manipulative therapy with soft tissue techniques, Home exercise programmes and lifestyle advice.
